Improved Filtration:
Closely controled seamless, mono-filament Polyester FILTRA-sleeves™ quickly self coat filter-aid cake to reduce migration and provide clearer fluids faster.

Greater Output:
More open filter area (twice that of woven wire) will flow faster at lesser pressure drops for increased throughput flow rates.

Extended Filter Cycles:
Less initial pressure drop, greater filter area and more uniform dirt distribution over smother filter media permits less frequent filter blow downs.

Operation

FILTRA-tubes™ are unique in their design and construction, being made of inert materials, normally compatible with most processes and since they are mechanically assembled, any or all parts may be easily replaced as necessary.

Each FILTRA-tube™ has a self sealing Connector, Tube Core, Filter Sleeve, Core Support and a Closure Plug with some being offered having an intermediate Drain Grid for further improvement of operation.

The configuration of top connector and tube diameter accommodate most of the vacuum/pressure filters, namely FILTR'ALL, Henry, Industrial, Delpark or Olsen. Special connectors may be available on request to suit specific applications.

FILTRA-sleeves™ are provided in the most popular .005" nominal opening in Polyester with other openings available on request.

In operation, the FILTRA-tube™ operates as either a pre or self coat element with flow path outside in. Filter aids and/or contaminants cake to the element surface where they are retained, collected and joined together in a bridging action, thus forming a positive barrier which in turn blocks the passage of continuing contaminants.

FILTRA-tubes™ improve flow patterns, thus assuring uniform filter caking, and at some desired point, based on time or pressure differentials, the filters flow is reversed, causing an inside-out flow pattern which dislodge the filter cake and its accumulated contaminants. Smooth surface FILTRA-tubes™ being flexible sleeves, "balloon" in this mode, thus affording improved release, backwash area restoration for the repeat cycle.
